    Is ordering on your website secure?

    Yes. your information is highly secure. All transactions are completed and processed through Paypal using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

  • How soon do you ship?

    In Stock Items:

    In stock item orders are shipped within 48hrs from the date of your order.

    Pre-Order Items:

    We strive to email you the approx ship to date or status update within 48hrs. Your credit/debit card won't be charged for items that are not readily available to ship.   We do keep your card information on file and when the pre-order item becomes available, we will charge your card and ship your package right away, at which time you will receive a follow up email with the order status and tracking information.

    Backorders:

    We strive to keep the website and our inventory quantity updated.  However some products do get sold out from time to time.   In the event that a product you order is not in stock, we will not charge your account at time of purchase.   We put it on backorder and your account won't be charged until your order is ready to ship

  • How do I return ?

    Returns for exchange (due to manufacturer defect):

    We will however, replace any defective merchandise within 5 days of  receiving your return and the replacement will be shipped at our cost.  You will pay for the return shipping and we will pay for the shipping cost of the exchange unit.  

    Returns for exchange (due to incorrect item received)

    Make sure you reference the order# in the subject line of your email, and email us a picture of the item you received.   We will respond within 48hrs and arrange a return for exchange.

    Returns for Refund (due to change of mind):

    We have a no questions asked, easy return policy. If you’ve changed your mind for any reason, you must return the product unused and in its original condition and package within 28 days for an exchange or refund. You will be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods, and the cost of the original shipping is not refundable.

    Please make sure the item is returned protected during transit with outer packaging similar to that with which it was sent. All items being returned for exchange / refund must reach us in a re-saleable condition which includes their immediate outer packaging

    Once return is received, we will process your refund credit within 72hrs.

    Please reference the order# and include a copy of the invoice with your return package so that we can identify your order and issue credit accordingly.

  • How do I place orders for pre-oder or back-order items?

    You can add the pre-order or back-order items to your shopping cart, just the same way as you add in stock items, and go to check out.

    You will be asked to enter payment information (credit card information) but you will not be charged until the goods are ready to ship.

    If the goods are ready to ship within 30 days of your original ordering date, we will automatically charge your card and ship your order.

    If the backorder or preorder becomes fulfillable after more than 30 days (from your original purchase date), then one of our staff will contact you to make sure you still want it before we process and ship your order.

     

     

  • What kind of payment method do you accept?

    We accept paypal and all major credit cards through paypal (Visa, Master, American Express, Discover )

  • Do I have to be a member to purchase?

    You don't have to be a member to purchase, but we encourage you to join us so that you can be in the front line to get the hobby cars that's in short supply, or to take advantage of our special member only discounts.

    It's very easy and fast to create an account, and you can store your shipping information for faster future purchase. Besides, there's a "Wish List" function in the member profile, for customers to create a list of their favorite model car / accessories.

    Join ModelCarAmerica membership is free, your privacy will be protected. We will not disturb you unless it's regarding to your orders.
